Our Recruitment Process

iMatch recruiters do more than merely match candidates to job openings. We work closely with clients to determine the exact qualifications and skills needed in a prospect, and we interview candidates extensively to ensure their experience and needs are appropriate for the job and culture offered by our clients. Our recruiters stay actively involved through the client interview and offer stage. Our objective is to launch long-term, successful relationships between the individuals we place and our clients.

iMatch Technical Services brings a unique and aggressive approach to the often-complex process of recruiting high performers. We see ourselves as extensions of our clients’ hiring teams. We are committed to developing a thorough approach to assure to bring forth employees that will achieve their objectives.

Our process consists of four phases:
The Profile — Position, Strategic, and Cultural Analyses
Building the ‘Match’ Model
The Recruiting Phase–Interviewing and Selection
The Offer and Acceptance

In the position analysis we build a comprehensive understanding of functional responsibilities, goals and specific skill requirements. Our approach identifies problems to be solved in the position to be incorporated into the job description. This analysis enables us to determine the competencies/knowledge base that potential candidates will need to have in their portfolio in order to be qualified for the position.

The second step in building the foundation involves determining the strategic mission:  We want to know where your company is going, how you want it to look when you get there, and what kind of people are required to get you there. A clear road map is critical to achieving success in the recruiting process.  How will this key resource impact the changes that are needed?  This information is often the key selling point that we will use to attract top candidates for this role.

The third phase of building a solid foundation involves a cultural analysis of the company and the individual department involved. At this stage we are attempting to identify the philosophical, operational and organizational characteristics that make the company/department unique. We address the values, beliefs, traits and behaviors that characterize the business and high performing personnel within the determined work environment. This phase is often the most critical in making a good fit between candidate and company.

As a result of doing a specific analysis of the work to be performed, how the job fits strategically into the company and the type of culture and style most desired we can draw a clear picture of the candidate. We call this ‘the match’. Once a clear picture has emerged of what we are looking for, we can plan a focused recruitment effort and proceed to the interviewing and selection phase. The key here is that we only need to build your company profile and the ‘Match’ for your key positions one time.

As we begin the interview phase of the project we have the ability to measure the candidate’s knowledge, his ability to apply that knowledge, along with his motivation to apply his knowledge. The interview can now be directed towards identifying the specific skills and cultural characteristics that will be needed to be successful.

Interviews can be designed around identifying the candidate’s historical behavior patterns. We believe that determining historical behavior, or "the reasons why," will greatly aid your evaluation of a candidate’s ability to succeed in your environment.

The offering phase is often the most delicate. We will assist the candidates and client in conducting cost of living comparisons while helping to find real-estate agents to aid in the process. We assist the candidate in his resignation strategy, and in this age of the counteroffer, this step is critically important. Setting up moving packages can be a complicated and expensive procedure. We stand ready to counsel both sides on this part of the project. We can and will recommend other recruiters for spousal assistance or assist ourselves when appropriate.

*This recruiting process requires a little more upfront effort from our clients, but we promise that it yields dramatic results and will save all of us a lot of time over the long run.
